This tutorial was
written using PSP9
but
may be done with other
versions,
and assumes
you have a good working
knowledge of PSP and its
tools.
Supplies
needed:
My
ch-goldstar2
PictureTube ==>
HERE
SK Random 60
from
Scrap-Stuff-with-PSP
Download the set -
180 Shapes
==>
HERE
Plugins:
AlienSkin
EyeCandy5 - Impact -
Bevel (Factory
Default)
You can find XmasBalls ==>
HERE


Settings
Extract and save the ch-goldstar2 to your
PictureTube
Folder
Extract and save the 180 Shapes set to your Preset Shapes
folder
Remember to save often.


Use the arrow to
mark your place while you do the tutorial.

Let's begin!!

Open a New
Transparent Image 500x400 pixel
Click on
your Preset Shapes Ellipsis - Circle Tool on the left
Turn off
your Foreground colour
and set the Background to
#4d4a2d
draw out a
circle
as the following setting
Your image
should look like this
Convert to
Raster Layer
and rename
as basicball-t
2 -
Change your Background to White
Click
again on your
Preset Shapes Ellipsis Tool - choose Ellipsis
and draw
out an elipse as the following setting
Your image
should look like this
Convert to
Raster Layer
and rename
as gaussian1-t
Adjust - Blur -
Gaussian Blur - Radius 15
Now make active
the basicball-t layer
Selections
- Select all
Selections
- Float - Defloat
Activate
again the
gaussian1-t
layer
Selections
- Invert
Press the Delete Key
Selections - Select none
3 - Change your Background to White
Click
again on your
Preset Shapes Ellipsis Tool - choose Circle again
and draw
out a circle as the following setting
Your image
should look like this
Convert to
Raster Layer
and rename
as gaussian2-t
Adjust - Blur -
Gaussian Blur - Radius 15
Low the Opacity to 80
Now make active again
the basicball-t layer
Selections
- Select all
Selections
- Float - Defloat
Activate
again the
gaussian2
layer
Selections
- Invert
Press the Delete Key
Selections - Select none
Layers - Merge Visible
Low the Opacity
to 60
Add a New Raster
Layer
Layers - Merge Visible
Your image
should look like this
Practically you
have fixed up your transparency!

your Ornaments

Set your
Foreground to Null
and
Background with a Gold Gradient,
I choose
GoldNoel - Angle 90 - Repeat 7 - Invert Ticked
Open
again your
Preset Shapes Ellipsis Tool - choose Ellipsis
and draw
out an ellipsis as the following setting
Your image
should look like this
Convert to
Raster Layer
Open your
Selection Rectangle tool - Feather 0 , Antialias checked
and draw e
selection like this:
Selections
- Invert
Press the Delete Key
Selections
- Select none
Now change
your Background to #998146
Open your Preset Shapes Ellipsis tool again
set above
draw as follow
Convert to
Raster Layer
Now set
your Foreground with the GoldNoel gradient
and your Background to null
Open your Preset Shapes tool
and look for SK Random 60
click on it and draw as follow
Convert to
RasterLayer
E ffects
- Plugins - AlienSkin
EyeCandy5 - Impact - Bevel (Factory Default)
Now if you like leave it so, otherwise
Open your
FreeHand Selections tool - Feather 8 , Antialias checked
and draw out a
selection like
this
leave the mouse
and press the Delete Key
Layer - Merge Visible
5 - Add your watermark
and save as .pspimage
Done!
